I'm a journalism student at American University and a trade policy reporter based in Washington D.C.
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and have spent more than five years reporting, researching, writing, and designing data visualizations on a variety of topics, including trade, economics, human rights, and environmental issues.
I have written short and long-form reporting pieces, op-eds, essays, explainers, and newsletter issues for several digital platforms. I am currently covering trade policy for Inside U.S. Trade in Washington, D.C.
You can read some examples of my writing below.
I worked on data visualization design for the last three years, working in Illustrator, Datawrapper, and R to build static and interactive charts and visualizations. I am constantly seeking to expand my technical capabilities in R and ggplot to broaden my offerings and incorporate more chart types, topics and analysis into my portfolio.
I have produced several short videos and gif animations for social media, including script writing, cutting footage in Adobe Premier Pro, and building animations in After Effects.
